The Best AI Visibility Tools for Nordic Brands in 2026
An American tool prompted in Swedish is not Nordic coverage. It is an American answer with Swedish words in it.

TL;DR
The Nordics are five small markets in four languages that most AI visibility
tools treat as a locale setting. They are not. Ask an assistant the same question
in Finnish and in English and it returns different brands, because it is reading
different sources. This list ranks tools on real Nordic coverage: the languages,
the Nordic models, and published evidence from the region. Renown is first,
being a Finnish company hosting in Finland with the only published Nordic field
study in the category. Asky is the Swedish specialist and is second.
Why the Nordics need their own measurement
Three reasons, and none of them is sentiment.
The languages are genuinely low-resource. Finnish in particular. Models havefar less Finnish text to work from than English, so they lean harder on a
smaller set of sources. That makes the answer more concentrated and more
movable, which cuts both ways.
There are Nordic models. Poro and Viking, built by Silo AI with TurkuNLP andHPLT in Finland, GPT-SW3 from AI Sweden, NorMistral from the University of Oslo.
These exist precisely because the global models handle Nordic languages poorly.
A tool that queries only ChatGPT and Gemini is not measuring them.
The answer differs by language in the same city. We tested this. Our Helsinki fine dining study ran100+ dining questions in English and Finnish across ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and
Gemini and scored 600+ answers. English and Finnish prompts returned different
restaurants. A brand can own the tourist answer and be invisible to locals.
The same study found the models disagree with each other violently: one
restaurant appeared in 73.6% of ChatGPT answers and 12.7% of Google AI Mode
answers. In small markets these spreads are larger, not smaller, because the
source pool is thinner.
How this list is ranked
Nordic language and model coverage first, then published evidence from theregion
, then whether the tool does the work. A tool that covers Swedish butqueries only American models is ranked below one that covers the Nordic models.
Renown makes one of these. We are first on hosting, languages, Nordic models and
published field data. Asky is the more specialised Scandinavian product and that
is said plainly below.
Checked August 2026.
The ranking
1. Renown
Nordic coverage: all four languages plus the Nordic models. Evidence:published.
Renown is a Finnish company. Terms are under Finnish law withjurisdiction in Helsinki, application infrastructure runs in Finland, and the
database is in Ireland, both within the EU.
Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish are covered by default, as part of the
150+ most spoken languages included on every account. Renown tracks the Finnish
Poro and Viking models, GPT-SW3 and NorMistral alongside ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude,
Perplexity, Copilot and the rest. The roster is at /models.
The Helsinki fine dining report
is, as far as we can find, the only published multi-model AI visibility field
study of a Nordic market. It is free and it names the restaurants.
On Renown Autopilot the fixing is done and verified rather than
handed over as a list.
Where others beat it: Asky's models are tuned specifically on Swedish, Norwegian
and Danish data, which is a deeper Scandinavian specialisation than Renown
claims.
2. Asky
Nordic coverage: Swedish, Norwegian, Danish. A Swedish-founded GEO and AEOplatform that monitors AI references and generates Nordic-optimised content,
using models tuned on Scandinavian datasets. Genuinely specialised, and the
closest thing to a direct competitor on this page for Scandinavian brands.
Two things to know. Its widely-cited Nordic tools roundup is written by an Asky
co-founder and ranks Asky first, and it dates from October 2025, which is old in
this category. Also note the list is mostly agencies rather than tools.
3. Peec AI
Nordic coverage: via 115+ languages. No Nordic specialisation, but broadlanguage support, EU hosting, a clean interface and around €89 a month. A
reasonable choice for a Nordic brand whose main markets are actually European
generally. Queries the global assistants rather than Nordic models.
4. Profound
Nordic coverage: via broad regional support. Enterprise depth, 200+ regions,SOC 2, around $499 a month. Right for a large Nordic group with an analyst.
Nothing Nordic-specific.
5. Otterly.AI
Nordic coverage: minimal. $29 a month, seven engines, fastest cheap way tofind out whether you are named at all. Treat the result as an English-market
reading unless you verify otherwise.
The Nordic agency option
Worth knowing that a good part of the Nordic market is served by agencies rather
than tools: PragoMedia in Sweden covering Nordic GEO across all four markets,
AY Rank in Copenhagen, IIH Nordic on data-led search, Curamando, AWISEE and
VAEKST for multi-market Scandinavian work.
If you want the work done rather than measured, an agency and an execution
product are the two routes, and they are not mutually exclusive: several
agencies run measurement tools underneath. Ask which one, and whether it covers
your languages.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Nordic-specific AI visibility tool?
You need Nordic language coverage and, ideally, Nordic model coverage. Whether
the vendor is Nordic matters less than whether it queries in your language and
reports per language rather than blending markets into one average.
Does AI answer differently in Finnish than in English?
Yes. Our Helsinki study found English and Finnish prompts returned different
restaurants for the same question in the same city, because the models read
different sources in each language.
Which AI models matter in the Nordics?
The global assistants dominate, but Poro and Viking from Finland, GPT-SW3 from
AI Sweden and NorMistral from Norway exist specifically because those assistants
handle Nordic languages poorly. Renown tracks them. Most tools do not.
Is Renown a Nordic company?
Renown is a Finnish company. Terms are governed by Finnish law with jurisdiction
in Helsinki District Court, and application infrastructure runs in Finland.
Renown is a Finnish company covering Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish by default, and tracking the Nordic models most tools ignore.
