Grounding is how AI keeps itself honest. Instead of just generating whatever sounds plausible, a grounded AI response is anchored to verifiable facts from real sources. It's the difference between AI making things up and AI citing its homework.

Without grounding, AI hallucinates. With grounding, it's more likely to be accurate. For brands, better grounding means AI is less likely to invent features you don't have or miss features you do.

How Grounding Works

An ungrounded AI response is pure generation. The model predicts what a good answer looks like based on patterns in its training data. It's often right. It's sometimes very wrong. And it has no mechanism to check.
